titleOfInvention Method for producing alkenylphenol copolymer
abstract (57) [Summary] [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing an alkenylphenol copolymer which is excellent in heat resistance, soluble in an organic solvent or an alkaline aqueous solution, and excellent in ultraviolet ray transmittance. [Structure] An alkenylphenol represented by the general formula (1) of the chemical formula 1 and an N-phenylmaleimide derivative represented by the general formula (2) of the chemical formula 1 are radical-initiated in an organic solvent or without a solvent. React in the presence of the agent. As a result, the UV transmittance at 436 nm is 90% or more and the UV transmittance at 365 nm is 70% or more. Moreover, a copolymer soluble in a 5 wt% caustic soda aqueous solution or an organic solvent (each monomer in this composition is approximately equimolar) can be obtained in high yield (about 90 to 100%).
