abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] To provide an antifouling paint that replaces the triallyltin polymer compound whose use has been regulated due to concerns over its impact on the ecosystem. [Structure] An antifouling coating composition containing an epoxy resin and a mercaptocarboxylic acid ester-based curing agent as essential components. [Effect] As well as exhibiting antifouling performance equivalent to or better than conventional antifouling paints, it has self-polishing property because the resin surface dissolves, so it can be used as an underwater antifouling paint for underwater immersion, especially for sailing vessels. It is useful.
