abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method for quantitatively determining an organic oxidant in a solution. The present invention is a method for accurately measuring the amount of an organic oxidant in a solution containing hydrogen peroxide by removing peracid by adding catalase for collecting the peracid. [Effect] Catalase has no effect on organic oxidants, and this method can accurately measure trace amounts of organic oxidants. Although the present invention can be used with chemically produced organic oxidants, it is particularly useful in metering peracid produced with enzymes.
