abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] Eliminates the corrosive properties of conventional bactericidal disinfectants consisting of quaternary ammoniu salts and amphoteric surfactants, which are gentle to the human body, and has high bactericidal activity. A disinfectant suitable for use as a disinfectant having low corrosiveness with respect to metal equipment and instruments, such as a medical disinfectant, an environmental disinfectant, a fiber disinfectant, and a circulating cooling water disinfectant. [Structure] Formula (I) (In the formula, R 1 is an alkyl group or alkenyl group having 8 to 22 carbon atoms, R 2 is an alkyl group or alkenyl group having 1 to 22 carbon atoms, R 3 is an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, and R 4 is alkylene. Group, Ar is an aryl group or a heteroaryl group, X m- is a carboxylic acid anion having 1 to 8 carbon atoms, and m is 1 (3, n is an integer of 1 to 5) is a bactericide containing a quaternary ammonium salt as an active ingredient.
