titleOfInvention | Method for producing polycarbonate |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] The present invention produces a polycarbonate having excellent mechanical properties, particularly impact resistance, heat resistance, and transparency, as well as improved retention stability and moldability, without using phosgene. A method for producing a polycarbonate is provided. [Structure] The method for producing a polycarbonate according to the present invention comprises: When a polycarbonate is produced by melt-polycondensing an aromatic dihydroxy compound and a carbonic acid diester in the presence of an end capping agent, an aromatic hydrocarbon represented by the following general formula [I] is used as the end capping agent. The alkoxy compound is used in an amount such that the unit can be introduced into 5 to 99% of the molecular ends of the obtained polycarbonate, and the amount of the unit is 1 × 10 −8 to 1 × 10 −3 with respect to 1 mol of the aromatic dihydroxy compound. (a) A method for producing a polycarbonate, which comprises melt-polycondensing in the presence of a catalyst containing an alkali metal compound and / or an alkaline earth metal compound, and adding an acidic compound to the resulting reaction product: ArO- [I] (In the formula, Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 50 carbon atoms.). |
