A silver halide color photographic light-sensitive material having in the silver halide emulsion layer a compound capable of leaving a development inhibitor by a reaction between the compound represented by Chemical formula 1 and an oxidized product of a color developing agent. [Chemical 1] R 1 is a halogen atom or an alkoxy group, R 2 is an acylamino, sulfonamide, imide, carbamoyl, sulfamoyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkoxycarbonylamino or alkoxy group, and m is an integer of 0 to 4.
