(57) [Summary] [Structure] B. Derived from a culture of Laterosporus J1, (a) has the ability to enzymatically convert glutaryl 7-ACA, adipyl 7-ACA and succinyl 7-ACA to 7-aminocephalosporanic acid; (b) has a molecular weight of 70, 000 Dalton (SDS-PAGE); (c) Its N-terminal amino acid sequence is Gln-Ser-Glu-Gln-Glu. -Lys-Ala-Glu-Glu-, a novel GL-7ACA acylase is isolated, cloned, and a host cell is transformed with an expression vector containing DNA encoding the same to obtain a transformant. The acylase is produced and its characteristics are determined. [Effect] It is useful for the production of 7-ACA by the enzyme conversion method. |
