(57) [Summary] [Structure] A polyphenylene ether obtained by oxidative polymerization of phenols in the presence of a complex catalyst containing copper, manganese, or cobalt is mixed with an oxygen acid of phosphorus or its salt and a compound of formula A ยท BH. ( 3) (wherein A represents an aliphatic primary or secondary amine having 1 to 6 carbon atoms), which is finely dispersed in water containing amine borane and is subjected to a solvent removal treatment .. [Effect] It is possible to obtain polyphenylene ether which is less colored by heat and has a good powder property. |
