titleOfInvention Antiseptic agent for wood
abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Purpose] To provide an antiseptic and anti-termite agent for wood that is highly safe for humans and animals and is easy to manufacture. [Structure] A wood preservative and preservative containing the alkyldimethylamine pentaborate of formula (I) or a hydrate thereof as an active ingredient. The alkyldimethylamine pentaborate and its hydrate can be obtained by reacting alkyldimethylamine with orthoboric acid or metaboric acid at a relatively low temperature, for example, 20 to 60 ° C. The wood preservative and ant-preventive agent can be used as a powder, an aqueous solution, an emulsified water solution or an oil agent. When the wood preservative and ant-preventive agent is a liquid agent, the concentration of the compound or its hydrate is about 1 to 10% by weight, and a binder of about 5 to 10% by weight can be contained. (In the formula, R represents an alkyl group having 8 to 20 carbon atoms)
