(57) [Summary] [Purpose] A synthetic intermediate such as diltiazem (-). Provided is a novel method for producing methyl-(2R, 3S) -2,3-epoxy-3- (4-methoxyphenyl) propionate. [Structure] Starting from a racemic mixture of methyl trans-2,3-epoxy-3- (4-methoxyphenyl) propionate, the dextrorotatory enantiomer in this mixture is catalyzed by an enzyme in an anhydrous medium. This is converted into an insoluble derivative by subjecting it to an exchange reaction. By selecting an enzyme that does not act on the levorotatory enantiomer as the enzyme used at this time, the purity of the levorotatory enantiomer can be easily obtained simply by removing the insoluble dextrorotatory enantiomer derivative from the reaction mixture by filtration. Revealed that it can be improved. |
