titleOfInvention Isomeric separation method
abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for efficiently obtaining an isomer of β-butyrolactone, particularly an optically active β-butyrolactone. [Structure] A mixture of isomers of β-butyrolactone represented by the following formula (I) is converted into trans-4,5-bis (diphenylhydroxymethyl) -2,2-represented by the following formula (II). Separation with dimethyl-1,3-dioxacyclopentane gives the isomer of β-butyrolactone. [Chemical 1]
