(57) [Summary] [Objective] An object of the present invention is to provide an insecticide. [Structure] BtPS1 having activity against diptera 92N1, BtPS92J, BtPS196S1, Bt A novel Bacillus thuringiensis isolate designated PS201L1 and BtPS201T6 is disclosed and claimed. These isolates or mutants thereof can be used for controlling pests. Also, the gene encoding the novel δ-endotoxin can be removed from these isolates and transferred to other host microorganisms or plants. Expression of delta-endotoxin in such a host can control sensitive pests in the host's environment. |
