Method for producing bioactive peptide |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Structure] A method for producing a physiologically active peptide having no aspartic acid-proline sequence by genetic recombination, comprising: Culturing cells transformed with an expression vector containing a gene encoding a fusion protein in which a protective peptide is bound to the physiologically active peptide via an aspartic acid-proline sequence, and collecting the fusion protein from the resulting culture A method for producing a physiologically active peptide having no aspartic acid-proline sequence, which comprises cleaving the aspartic acid-proline bond of the fusion protein with an acid. [Effects] According to the method of the present invention, a low molecular weight physiologically active peptide represented by hBNP can be easily and efficiently produced using recombinant DNA technology. |
