(57) [Summary] (Corrected) [Purpose] To provide a method that can provide effective indicators when exploring underground oil and natural gas resources in the ocean. [Configuration] The seawater samples, by passing through a suction pipe 4 filled with an adsorbent, thereby directly contacting the hydrocarbon molecules of trace amounts contained in the seawater to the adsorbent surface. The hydrocarbons adsorbed on the adsorbent are released by heating or the like and used for analysis. [Effect] It is possible to effectively detect a hydrocarbon having a relatively large molecular weight and therefore a low volatility and a low concentration in seawater. |
