titleOfInvention | Method for producing long-chain aliphatic alcohol or alkyl ester thereof |
abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To provide a method for producing industrially advantageous higher alcohols. [Structure] A long-chain aliphatic alcohol or an alkyl ester thereof can be obtained by subjecting ω-hydroxycarboxylic acid or ω-acyloxycarboxylic acid and a long-chain carboxylic acid to cross-Kolbe type electrolytic condensation. An alkyl ester of a long chain aliphatic alcohol can be easily obtained by hydrolyzing the alkyl ester of the long chain aliphatic alcohol. |
