abstract | (57) [Summary] [Purpose] Not only removal of organochlorine compounds represented by trihalomethane, which has a carcinogenic effect on chlorine compounds such as humic acid contained in tap water, but also other harmful substances such as chlorine compounds and phosphorus compounds. Not only can it be effectively adsorbed and removed, the growth of miscellaneous fungi can be suppressed, and further, clogging and runoff of the filter medium can be prevented. [Structure] Activated carbon 92 in the form of fine powder having a particle size of 5 μm or less obtained by mixing a carbonaceous raw material 90 with a calcium compound 91 and carbonizing and activating the activated carbon 92, which has been coagulated and activated. A filter medium 9 composed of a polysaccharide 93 that bonds the two to each other and a silver layer 94 deposited on the surface of the activated carbon 92 is incorporated. |
