(57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an ultrasonic imaging device which can be positioned in a coronary vessel to obtain an image thereof, a method of using the same, and a method of manufacturing the same. The present invention is directed to an elongated member having a distal end that can be located within a small vessel of a patient and a proximal end located outside the body, a distal end of the elongated member for ultrasonic pulse And a signal processor coupled to the transducer for generating pulses to and receiving pulses from the transducer and a proximal end of the elongated member operable to scan the distal coronary vessel. The motor is also connected to the proximal end of the elongate member for rotating the transducer. |
