abstract (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method for measuring magnesium, which is easy and quick to operate, and which has higher sensitivity. Fluorescent reagent containing 180-hydroquinoline-5-sulfonic acid as main component in serum solution and standard solution 180 μ After adding 1 each, stir well using a titer mixer. Then, using a microplate reader, 360n wavelength for serum or standard solution in each well Irradiate with m 2 excitation light, and measure continuously the fluorescence intensity at wavelength 530 nm exhibited by the serum solution or standard solution. A calibration curve is prepared from the measured fluorescence intensity of the standard solution, and the magnesium concentration in the serum solution is determined from the fluorescence intensity of the serum solution measured based on this calibration curve.
