titleOfInvention | Silver halide emulsion |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] The object of the present invention is to eliminate tabular grains by eliminating the problem of non-uniform grains (principal plane epitaxy grains), which has been a problem of the conventional epitaxy formation method for tabular grains. The purpose is to form silver iodide-containing silver halide epitaxy substantially limited to the edges of the grains. (1) Epitaxial halogenation in which tabular silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of 2 or more are used as host grains and a substantially limited silver iodide-containing silver halide epitaxy is formed at an edge portion of the host grains. A silver halide emulsion containing 50% or more of the photographing area of all silver halide grains. (2) The silver halide emulsion according to (1), which has epitaxy formed by controlling the release of iodine ions from the iodine ion releasing agent. |
