Purified anti-neoplastic fraction and method for treating neoplastic diseases |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a biologically active peptide composition useful for the treatment of human neoplastic disease. [Structure] A highly purified fraction from human urine having antineoplastic activity and its preparation method. The above-mentioned fraction contains a plurality of small-sized low-molecular-weight peptides which are biologically active and show cytostatic activity and cytotoxic activity against neoplastic cell cultures and human neoplastic diseases. The common component of these fractions is 3- [N- Phenylacetylaminopiperidine] -2,6-dione was identified. A method for synthesizing this compound is also shown. |
