titleOfInvention Cone beam reconstruction using a combination of circular and line trajectories
abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide an image generating apparatus and method capable of generating an accurate three-dimensional image from cone beam data. [Structure] The radiation passing through the cone beam collimator is A radiation detector, such as a gamma camera head, is received by moving in circular and linear orbits. The data collected in the circular orbit is stored 42c, transformed into the frequency domain 50c, the redundant data is removed and transformed back into the spatial domain. The data collected during the line trajectory is stored 421. The line trajectory data is transformed into the frequency domain and repeatedly filtered by a set of filter functions to remove redundant data. Each filter function corresponds to a different row of the examination area. The filtered frequency domain slice data set is transformed back into the spatial domain and transferred to the central portion of the spatial domain memory.
