(57) [Summary] [Objective] In a method for producing hydrogen peroxide by catalytically reacting oxygen and hydrogen in a reaction medium (aqueous solution) to produce hydrogen peroxide, a high concentration of a peroxide in a reaction medium containing no halogen ion is used. Produces hydrogen oxide. [Structure] Oxygen and hydrogen are catalytically reacted in an aqueous solution using a catalyst in which a platinum group metal and a water-insoluble organic halogen compound (excluding compounds containing only fluorine) coexist on the surface of the catalyst as a catalyst. To produce hydrogen peroxide. [Effect] Since it is not necessary to allow halogen ions to exist in the reaction medium as in the conventional method, the loss due to the elution of the catalyst metal is small and the corrosion of the apparatus can be reduced. |
