(57) [Summary] [Purpose] When composited with cellulosic fibers, it is unlikely to move or fall off, so that a water absorbing agent that is expected to have a synergistic effect on water absorbing performance can be easily obtained. [Structure] The surface of a water-absorbent resin particle having a carboxyl group is treated with a crosslinking agent having two or more functional groups capable of reacting with the carboxyl group to form a covalent bond to crosslink at a part of the carboxyl group. Then, the particles are mixed with a cationic polymer compound having a weight average molecular weight of 2000 or more, which can react with a carboxyl group to form an ionic bond. |
