abstract | (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide a method for producing a polyalkylene oxide. 【Constitution】 A cyclic oxide having R'is hydrogen or methyl is prepared by contacting a fumed silica dispersion aid and a nonionic surfactant in an inert medium under the general formula: R 2 Zn (R Is (i) C1-8 alkyl group; (ii) (alkyl-substituted) phenyl group or naphthyl group; (iii) C4 A cycloalkyl group; (iv) a dicyclopentadienyl group; and a linear alkane polyol having 2 to 6 carbon atoms in the alkane chain or 5 or 6 ring carbon atoms. A method for producing a polyalkylene oxide, which comprises contacting with a catalytic amount of a catalyst containing a reaction product with a cycloalkanediol. |
