(57) [Summary] [Structure] The method of the present invention is a method for producing a polyester having an intrinsic viscosity of at least 0.5, wherein (A) 0.5 A mixture of molten polyester, titanium alkoxide and 13X zeolite having an intrinsic viscosity of less than, then (B) an intrinsic viscosity of said polyester of at least 0.5 Applying the mixture for a time and at a temperature sufficient to elevate the temperature. [Effect] According to the present invention, a high molecular weight polyester having no branched chain can be produced without using a toxic reactant. |
