abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide an aromatic diamino compound useful as a raw material for a polyimide resin, an aromatic dinitro compound as the raw material, and a method for producing the same. [Structure] An aromatic diamino compound represented by the following formula. (In the formula, R 1 and R 2 each independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group or a cyano group, and at least one of R 1 and R 2 is a hydrogen atom. Other than the above) [Effect] The aromatic diamine of the present invention is useful as a raw material of a liquid crystal polyimide excellent in moldability and solvent solubility.
