| abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To connect a multicolor display device and a signal source with a small number of signal lines to perform signal transmission and display control. [Structure] A display device is configured by further arranging display units in which display elements are arranged in rows and columns, and an address IC and a plurality of drive ICs are provided for each display unit. A serial display signal supplied through a small number of signal lines is converted into a drive output of a display element by an address IC and a drive IC. Drive IC Has a circuit that thins out the operation to prevent heat generation. A capacitor is connected to the power supply line to store the power for simultaneous operation of the display elements. [Effect] By making the display device intelligent, the connection between the display element and the signal source is simplified, and there are effects of easy manufacture and maintenance, improved reliability, and cost reduction. |
