(57) Summary (Modified) Objective: To provide MD18 and MD20 polypeptides of Marek's disease virus which can be used to immunize poultry against MD. A nucleic acid sequence encoding a Marek's disease virus polypeptide, a recombinant nucleic acid molecule containing this type of nucleic acid sequence, A vector virus comprising said nucleic acid sequence, a host cell transformed with this type of nucleic acid sequence, a Marek's disease virus polypeptide and an antibody reactive with said polypeptide, and a vaccine against Marek's disease. The gene encoding MD18 polypeptide (length of about 663 amino acids) is MDV Non-repetitive length of the genome (unique long, i.e. U L) is mapped to a region, the gene encoding the MD20 polypeptide (amino acids in length to about 1074 pieces of) also MD Maps to the UL region of the V genome. |
