(57) [Summary] [Constitution] A purified para-nitrobenzyl esterase (PNB esterase) derived from Bacillus and a method for purifying the same are provided. [Effect] The PNB esterase of the present invention catalyzes the reaction of deesterifying the PNB ester of the cephalosporin compound and the 1-carbacephalosporin compound to convert it into the corresponding free acid. |
