titleOfInvention | Methods to reduce copper corrosion of organic polysulfides |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] Dihydrocarbyl polysulfide, which is corrosive to copper, is mixed with water using an alkali metal-containing substance or alkaline earth metal-containing substance capable of dissolving elemental sulfur. A method for reducing the copper corrosivity of dihydrocarbyl polysulfides which are corrosive to copper, comprising treatment in a liquid reaction medium consisting of a mixture with at least one water-soluble alcohol. [Effect] The copper corrosion of dihydrocarbyl polysulfide is effectively reduced. |
