(57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a method for separating cresol isomers. A faujasite zeolite containing a cation of at least one element of the first and / or second main group of the periodic table of elements (Mendeleev) is used, and a (cyclic) aliphatic secondary alcohol or A desorbent containing a tertiary alcohol is used to separate m-cresol and p-cresol from the mixture of cresol isomers by adsorption on faujasite zeolite followed by desorption. |
