titleOfInvention | Non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] It is an object to provide a positive electrode active material for a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery having excellent cycle characteristics. [Structure] As a positive electrode active material, the general formula Li X M 1-Y A Y O 2 (where M is a transition metal, A is a metal having an ionic radius smaller than that of the transition metal M, and the cation of which is 6-coordinated, X ≦ 1.0, 0.1 ≦ Y ≦ 0.4. By using the composite oxide represented by the formula (4), distortion of the crystal lattice due to insertion and desorption of lithium ions is prevented. |
