titleOfInvention Non-linear optical material
abstract (57) [Summary] [Structure] N-alkyl-N ′ represented by the following chemical formula: A non-linear optical material composed of a (4-nitrophenyl) urea derivative. The alkyl group is a methyl group, an ethyl group, a propyl group, or a butyl group, and a deuterium-substituted one is also used. [Chemical 1] [Effect] High efficiency is exhibited in the expression of the second-order nonlinear optical effect, and since the cutoff wavelength in the crystalline state is shortened, it can be used in a wide wavelength range. Therefore, it can be expected to be useful as various optical functional element materials such as a wavelength conversion element and a light control element that utilize the nonlinear optical effect and the electro-optical effect.
