abstract | (57) Abstract: [PROBLEMS] To provide a method for producing a cellular polymer product, a cellular polymer product produced thereby and a polyisocyanate composition used therein. An isocyanate-reactive compound having a functionality of at least 2 in the presence of a blowing agent and in the presence of an inert organic liquid which is substantially insoluble in the reaction mixture and which is present as the dispersed phase of the emulsion or microemulsion. Comprising reacting the composition with a polyisocyanate composition, wherein the polyisocyanate composition comprises polymethylene polyphenylene polyisocyanate having a functionality of at least 2.5 and a urethane modified isocyanate terminated prepolymer. The polyisocyanate composition has an isocyanate functionality of at least a few and the concentration of urethane bonds in the polyisocyanate composition is 1 per 100 g thereof. It relates to a process for preparing a cellular polymer product, characterized in that it is present in the range of mmol to 150 mmol. |
