abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] To provide a pharmaceutical and food additive for a preventive or therapeutic agent for gastric ulcer. [Structure] A gastric ulcer preventive or therapeutic agent comprising a peptide fraction having a gastric acid secretion inhibitory activity isolated from human or mammalian milk as an active ingredient, and a food additive having such activity. Such a peptide fraction has a molecular weight cut-off of less than 4 in milk. There is a crude glycomacropeptide fraction obtained by permeating through an ultrafiltration membrane of 10,000 to 50,000 and concentrating using an ultrafiltration membrane having a molecular weight cutoff of 50,000 or less at pH 4 or more. Further, there is a crude peptide fraction obtained by adsorbing the crude glycomacropeptide fraction on an anion exchange resin and eluting the adsorbed product. [Effect] Since these peptide fractions are one of milk components and have an action of suppressing secretion of gastric juice, a gastric ulcer preventive or therapeutic agent or a food additive containing the peptide fraction as an active ingredient prevents or treats gastric ulcer. In addition to having the effect of reducing the number of side effects, it can be administered in a large amount for a long period of time. |
