titleOfInvention Method for producing cubic calcium carbonate
abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] An object of the present invention is to provide an inexpensive and efficient method for producing cubic calcium carbonate having a particle size of 0.2 µ to 1 µ and good dispersibility. [Structure] The method of the present invention comprises Before carbon dioxide is carbonated by introducing carbon dioxide gas or a gas containing carbon dioxide gas into the calcium hydroxide slurry to which a substance that forms a complex with a-ion is added, and before the viscosity of the slurry changes and reaches the maximum value. The introduction of carbon dioxide gas is stopped (first step), and then calcium oxide is added to the slurry during the reaction to hydrate the calcium oxide (second step). A carbon dioxide gas-containing gas is introduced to terminate the reaction (third step). Further, it is preferable to preliminarily subject the calcium oxide used in the second step to moisture absorption.
