abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To avoid the influence on the screen due to the shift of the horizontal synchronization of the input video signal, and to avoid the failure of the writing and reading operations to the memory. [Structure] Two memories 23A and 23B are alternately written and operated in a read state to convert the number of lines and the number of fields. In both the system conversion and the non-system conversion, the horizontal sync on the read side is synchronized with the horizontal sync on the write side near the vertical sync position on the read side. At the time of system conversion, the image frame of the video signal to be written in the memories 23A and 23B is changed according to the shift between the horizontal sync of the input video signal and the horizontal sync on the writing side. Since the influence of the horizontal synchronization shift of the input video signal is transmitted to the reading side during the vertical blanking period on the reading side, no skew appears on the output screen. Further, since the image frame is changed according to the shift, it is possible to prevent the writing and reading operations of the memories 23A and 23B from overlapping. |
