titleOfInvention | Method for detecting analytes in saliva using the peroxide-peroxidase test system |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Objective] The analyte in saliva, which normally contains a reducing agent of some kind and interferes with the detection of the analyte utilizing the chromogenic response by the redox indicator, was tested for the peroxide-peroxidase test system. A method for semi-quantitative detection using is provided. The method is selected from an oxidase, a peroxidase or a peroxidatively active substance that is selective for the analyte, and an indicator having an oxidation potential low enough to resist reduction by a reducing agent present in saliva. The saliva is brought into contact with a reagent system containing a redox indicator. |
