abstract (57) [Summary] [Purpose] General formula [Chemical formula 9] Discloses a novel process for the production of aminochroman. Aminochroman is an important intermediate for the manufacture of hypolipidemic drugs. [Structure] General formula: Of the nitrochromanone with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst and the resulting aminochromanone (III) is reduced to the aminochromene (IV) using zirconium oxide / isopropanol to finally give this compound. Hydrogenation with hydrogen in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst forms the final product.
