(57) [Abstract] [Purpose] To reduce the reflection and extinction constants of transparent members. The structure comprises, on at least one side of a substrate 20, a layer system 23, 24 of transparent multilayers, at least one of which is a layer of hafnium, zirconium, tantalum or titanium oxynitride. The mixed gas used in the reactive vapor deposition method for forming this layer is sufficiently mixed in advance. Hafnium oxynitride has a refractive index of 2.6 to 2.8 and an extinction constant K of 0.02 or less. |
