titleOfInvention | Unsaturated polyamino polymer and method for producing the same |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a method for producing a polyaminopolyamide wet strength resin without using epihalohydrin. Constitution: (a) contacting the polyfunctional amine with an unsaturated alkylating agent under reaction conditions to form an amine / unsaturated alkylating agent adduct, and (b) adding this adduct to form a polyamino polymer. Contacting the functional compound with (c) a polyamino polymer having a halohydrin or dihalo functional group to form a polyamino polymer having a halohydrin or dihalo functional group, and (d) a halohydrin or vicinal dihalo functional group. A method characterized by a combination of steps for raising the pH of a polyamino polymer having groups to a sufficient extent to increase the molecular weight. |
