abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Object] An object of the present invention is to provide a paramagnetic metal ion-containing nuclear magnetic resonance contrast agent having appropriate vascular localization and blood retention. [Structure] (a) A dialdehyde sugar having a molecular weight of 500 to 10,000 in which at least one of the constituent monosaccharides is oxidatively cleaved, and (b) at least one chemically bonded to an aldehyde group of the dialdehyde sugar. A nuclear magnetic resonance contrast agent, which comprises a complexing agent composed of the complexing agent of 1) and (c) a paramagnetic metal ion chemically bound to the complexing agent. |
