Aqueous solution of cationic polyamidoamine resin |
abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Structure] a) reacting a water-dilutable basic polyamidoamine (B) with epichlorohydrin; b) converting the resin thus obtained with an inorganic base and a water-soluble organic mono- or -polyamine A resin containing a water-dilutable polyamidoamine-epichlorohydrin resin (A) obtained as a resin by reacting with or with ammonia or a mixture thereof; and c) by adding an acid so that a pH of 1 to 7 is achieved. Aqueous solution. [Effect] This aqueous resin solution has storage stability at a pH value of 3 or more, is similar to the conventional one in the wet paper strengthening effect, and has a small amount of organically bound chlorine. Suitable for use as a wet strength agent for paper. |
