abstract | (57) [Summary] [Structure] The member of the present invention is a bias transfer member for electrically cooperating with a surface of a conductive support to attract charged toner particles from the surface of the conductive support to the member. The member is a conductive substrate capable of holding a uniform bias voltage on its surface, and (a) a specific polyisocyanate prepolymer; and (b) a conductive material for controlling the resistivity of a specific elastomeric polyurethane. At least one coating comprising an elastic elastomeric polyurethane formed by reacting a curable mixture containing a rate control agent, said coating being in electrical contact with said conductive substrate and biased It has an electrical resistivity such that a voltage can be transmitted from the substrate to the periphery of the coating. The bias transfer member of the present invention can maintain a given level of resistivity and improve humidity insensitivity. |
