abstract (57) [Summary] [Object] To provide a reagent for detecting β-glucans with a simple preparation method and high sensitivity, and a method for detecting β-glucans using the same. [Composition] A reagent for detecting β-glucans, which is characterized by containing a horseshoe crab blood cell-derived endotoxin-neutralizing peptide and a chromogenic substrate in a horseshoe crab blood cell extract, and a reagent for detecting such β-glucans in a sample. [Beta] -glucans are detected. [Effect] A reagent for detecting β-glucans, which has a simple preparation method and high sensitivity, and a method for detecting β-glucans using the same are provided.
