abstract (57) [Summary] (Modified) [Objective] To provide an efficient and effective microbial-degradable bleaching solution. A preferred bleaching composition of the invention comprises (a) a ferric complex of methyliminodiacetic acid as a bleaching agent, and (b) at least 0.9 mol of acetic acid per liter, (C) Containing 15-35 g of potassium bromide per liter, (d) pH of 2.5-4.0, which is an improvement over prior art bleaching compositions. The present invention comprises (i) an alkyliminodiacetic acid, such as methyliminodiacetic acid, (ii) its pH is 3.5 to 4.5, and (iii) the amount of ferric iron is 2 per liter. Included is knowledge of the synergistic bleaching interactions of ~ 16g of bleach.
