(57) [Summary] [Structure] A microorganism that synthesizes D-pantothenic acid without substantially synthesizing L-pantothenic acid from DL-pantoic acid and β-alanine is DL-pantoic acid, DL-pantolactone or their Contacting the mixture with β-alanine gives D-pantothenic acid. [Effect] By using a microorganism, an inexpensive raw material of DL-pantoic acid and / or DL-pantolactone and β-alanine is stereoselectively condensed to cause a high yield of D-pantothenic acid or a salt thereof with high optical purity. A method of manufacturing the same is provided. |
