titleOfInvention | Magneto-optical recording medium |
abstract | (57) [Abstract] [Purpose] In a magneto-optical recording medium, when the recording laser power is increased when recording a signal, heat is conducted in the surface of the recording layer, and the shape of the mark is deteriorated or the mark interval is narrowed. As a result, waveform interference occurs, and the jitter increases due to the waveform interference. That is, the phase margin becomes narrow. The purpose is to improve this and prevent the phase margin from becoming narrow. In a magneto-optical recording medium having a recording layer made of a magnetic material on a substrate, the recording layer contains a rare earth element containing nitrogen. A magneto-optical recording medium which is an amorphous magnetic alloy film of a transition metal, wherein the content of nitrogen in the amorphous magnetic alloy film is in the range of less than 5 at%. |
