titleOfInvention | Magnetic recording medium |
abstract | (57) [Summary] [Object] An object of the present invention is to provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent high frequency characteristics, good signal overwriting characteristics, and excellent weather resistance. In the magnetic recording medium of the present invention, the uppermost layer contains a ferromagnetic metal powder having a specific average major axis length and a specific axial ratio, and has a layer thickness of 0.5 μm or less, and is adjacent to the uppermost layer. It is characterized in that the layer comprises a layer containing a non-magnetic powder. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent high frequency characteristics, good signal overwriting (overwriting) characteristics, and excellent weather resistance. |
