abstract |
(57) [Summary] [Purpose] A frit that does not contain lead and cadmium Provided is a method of treating the frit to be quickly baked into an aged glaze without causing a gray discoloration. (A) A step of producing glass frit particles free of lead and cadmium having a desired composition, (b) Forming a dispersion of the frit particles in an organic medium, (C) coating the dispersion on a substrate; and (d) firing the dispersion to burn the medium to melt the frit particles into a glaze. By adsorbing a coating of an organic compound containing at least one sulfur oxide group as an oxidant on the surface of the frit particles and calcining the dispersion, the organic compound burns and the carbonaceous residue is oxidized, This eliminates the gray discoloration. |
